Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Ekta Kapoor REVEALS why she chose Parth Samthaan & Erica Fernandes as new Anurag-Prerna (WATCH VIDEO)

Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ is one of the most anticipated shows on the small screen. Ever since Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan introduced Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes as the new lead pair of KZK 2- Anurag Basu and Prerna Sharma, fans have not been able to keep their calm. The romantic saga, which originally featured Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan in the respective roles of Prerna and Anurag, will return on Star Plus from September 25 at 8pm slot. The mystery over the actor playing Anurag Basu in Kasautii 2 continued for many weeks as names like Ssharad Malhotra, Kushal Tandon, Barun Sobti, Abhimanyu Chaudhary were floating in the media. All speculations were laid to rest when pictures of Parth shooting for the show’s promo were leaked on the internet. Ekta Kapoor, while talking to the reporters at the press conference of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ in Kolkata, opened up on why she chose Parth and Erica as Anurag & Prerna. The ‘Naagin 3’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ producer said that she had auditioned several actors but none of them had expressive eyes as Parth. Talking about Erica, the TV Czerina said that when she went to Kolkata, she had watched the promo of her debut show ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ and was hugely impressed with the actress. Kapoor said that she wanted to work with Erica since then and when KRPKAB went off air she signed her for KZK 2. Check out the video right here!

Talking about the third wheel of the show, Hina Khan is rumoured to play Komolika. The former Bigg Boss contestant has remained tight-lipped about her role in Kasautii reboot but all signs point that she is indeed playing the baddie.
