Ghanshyam Nayak Death: Munmun Dutta paid a tribute to Taarak Mehta's Nattu Kaka on Instagram.

Mumbai: Popular TV actress Munmun Dutta took to social media to share a heartfelt post for her ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ co-star Ghanshyam Nayak, who passed away on Sunday (October 3). Dutta got emotional while penning her thoughts about the veteran actor. She posted a long note to express her grief over Nayak’s demise.

The talented actress shared a photo with the senior actor, which she clicked when the duo met on the sets of ‘Taarak Mehta’. She shared a close association with Nayak as they were working together since the past thirteen years.

Dutta's Instagram post is full of her happy memories with Nayak. The duo smiled while striking a pose for every photo they clicked. Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages.

When 'Taarak Mehta' Cast Gave Nayak Standing Ovation

The Bengali beauty revealed that Nayak recited Shlokas in Sanskrit to tell how his pronunciation was still clear after taking chemo sessions for cancer. She added that the team of the show gave him a standing ovation on the sets.

"The first picture is the last time that I met him. His fighting spirit and inspirational words, in the face of adversity , is what I remember the most. He said 2 shlokas in Sanskrit to tell us how his pronunciation is absolutely perfect and clear after recovering from chemo and we gave him a standing ovation on the set, she wrote.

He Considered Me His Daughter: Munmun On Ghanshyam

The actress said that Nayak would fondly call her 'Dikri', which means daughter in Gujarati. She added, "He would always have the best things to say about our set, our unit and our team. It was his second ‘HOME’. He would fondly call me ‘Dikri’ and considered me his daughter. He shared so much laughter with all of us. I fondly remember him sharing his struggle stories from his younger days."

"Have been a celebrated artist all his life. More than anything, I will always remember him as this absolutely genuine and a ‘cute’ person when he spoke. The last year has been so difficult on him due to his deteriorating health. Inspite of it, he wanted to keep working and stay positive always. oo many memories, too many great things to write about you. I was blessed to know you for the past 13 years Kaka. You will always be remembered by me and many ,whose life you touched as an artist. I hope you’re in a better place now. Heaven is brighter today because of you," Munmun's post read.

Ghanashyam underwent a surgery in 2020 to remove the knots in his neck. Earlier this year, he said in an interview that he was diagnosed with cancer. The actor played the role of Nattu Kaka for over 13 years in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.
