Erica Fernandes On ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ Going Off-Air: ‘Not Necessary What Worked 20 Years Ago, Will Receive Similar Attention And Fame Today’

New Delhi: The makers of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ recently revealed that the show will soon be going off-air due to the falling TRPs and the last episode will telecast on October 3. They have also reportedly planned an exciting climax where Anurag and Prerna will have a happy ending as Komolika will die in the end. Ekta Kapoor’s popular show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ starring Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes could not match up to the original show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ starring Shweta Tiwari in the lead role. Speaking about the same, the lead actress Erica told Times Of India, “It’s not necessary that what worked 20 years ago, will receive similar attention and fame today. Back then, the audiences were different, but viewers have evolved over the years. Similarly, the script and content of daily soaps have evolved and there’s no set formula that works every time.” Expressing her views on the show going off-air, Erica Fernandes told the same publication, “Every good thing comes to an end, and daily soaps are no different. In order to make way for a new show, the older show has to come to an end.” When enquired if it disappointed her as an actor, she added, “Not at all. Actually, an actor has no say in whether the show will run for years or come to an end all of a sudden. We are actors and cannot control the storyline, which is the prerogative of the makers and channels.” The ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ actress disclosed that the sizzling on-screen chemistry between her and Parth Samthaan is a result of their friendship. She further added, “Not just Parth, I had developed great chemistry with all my co-actors in the show. While I already knew some of them, Parth and I met on the set and became friends. If two actors are comfortable with each other, that chemistry translates on the screen.” Elaborating on her future ventures, Erica told the news portal that now she is looking forward to do something she has not tried so far. The ‘KZK2’ actress further revealed that she wants to play the role of a warrior princess as she feels that it would have various dimensions to it. Stay tuned for more updates!
