Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia aka Mehr has reportedly taken a break from Choti Sarrdaarni owing to her health issues.
Colors TV’s ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ is one of the most popular shows on Indian television. The daily soap starring Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Avinesh Rekhi has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets with its drama-packed episodes. Speculations are rife that Kratika Sengar has replaced Nimrit as the new Mehr in the show.
Ardent fans of ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ became disappointed after the rumours of Nimrit’s exit from the show hit the internet. The talented actress has won several hearts with her performance in the early evening show. Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Nimrit is not leaving the show.
According to a report in Times Of India, Nimrit has taken a break from the show due to her health issues. She has made a temporary from ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ and will make a return once she recovers fully.
Kratika, while talking to TOI, clarified that she has not replaced Nimrit. She told the daily that she would have said no to the makers if they approached her to replace the leading lady of the show. The small screen diva further said that Nimrit played the role beautifully and she wouldn’t wish to step into her shoes.
Kratika became a household name after playing the role of Lakshmi Bai in ‘Jhansi Ki Raani’. She later went on to feature in shows like ‘Punar Vivah’, ‘Service Wali Bahu’ and ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’.
On the professional front, the talented actress was last seen in ‘Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki’. Kratika’s sizzling chemistry with Ssharad Malhotra grabbed several eyeballs. The romantic drama went off air in July 2018, after a successful run of two years.
Talking about ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’, the show recently took a leap of five years. The makers shot some of the important sequences in the picturesque location of Kashmir.
