In a recent promo, fans were given a glimpse of a tense exchange between new entrants Digvijay Singh Rathee and Kashish Kapoor, which even left host Salman Khan visibly surprised as he introduced them as housemates.

The promo kicks off with Salman saying, “Mere paas is season ke wild card dhamake hain (I have this season’s wild card surprises with me).” Salman then inquires if the two know each other, to which Kashish responds confidently, “I am the main character.”

Tension quickly escalates as Digvijay tells Kashish, “Kisi bhi podcast me jaake maine tumhara naam nahi liya ( I did not take your name in any podcast).” Kashish retorts, “Aap complete kar lo, phir main bolungi. Sambhal ke tumhare kismat ki dor mere hi haath thi last time. Aur aaj yaha ho to bhi mere hi kaaran ho ye bhulna mat. Us ladki ke lalach ke kaaran mere bachpan ka sapna tuut gaya, meri maa ro di (Finish what you have to say, then I’ll respond. Remember, your fate was in my hands last time, and you’re here because of me. My childhood dream was shattered, my mother cried, all because of that girl’s greed).”
In response, Digvijay asserts, “To sach hi to bola. Main bhai ye negativity bilkul nahi chahta apni zindagi me (I only spoke the truth. I don’t want this negativity in my life).” Salman, taken aback, interjects by asking Kashish, “Ho gaya aapka? (Are you done?)” to which she replies, “Inka ho gaya to mera definitely (If he’s done, then I’m definitely done).”
The promo ends with Salman’s stunned expression.

For all those wondering what is the reason behind Digvijay and Kashish’s rift, we have the answer. The two had previously appeared together on ‘MTV Splitsvilla X5’. Initially, each was paired with a different partner, but as the show progressed, they ended up teaming up. However, just before the finale, Kashish faced a crucial choice: participate in the final challenge or leave with a prize of Rs 10 lakh. Kashish opted for the cash, and since Digvijay was her partner at the time, he too was eliminated from the finale without a chance to compete in the final stunt. This led to the rift between them which will likely to continue inside the Bigg Boss house.
