Barkha Bisht Confirms Divorce With Indraneil Sengupta: 'One Of The Toughest Decisions Of My Life'

New Delhi: Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta got married in 2008 and have a daughter named Meira. The couple has been living separately since two years, and the rumours about their relationship have been going around since then. In a conversation with ETimes, Barkha said, “Yes, our divorce should come through soon. This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life.”
She didn’t divulge any further about the reason behind their separation but mentioned that her work and her daughter are her priorities right now. “I am a single mother and Meira is my priority. On the work front, I have been doing interesting projects in the OTT space. I am open to good projects in TV and films, too,” she was quoted as saying by ETimes.
Barkha and Indraneil met on the sets of ‘Pyaar Ke Do Naam...Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam’ in 2006. They started dating and tied the knot two years later. Their daughter Meira is eleven years old.
On the work front, Barkha was last seen in Amazon Mini TV series ‘Hunter: Tootega Nahi, Todega' starring Suniel Shetty, Esha Deol, Rahul Dev, among others.
Barkha Bisht will also feature in a web series loosely inspired by the deadly bombing that took place in Pune in 2010. The show is tentatively titled 'Naam Ghum Jayega'.
Talking about the same, Barkha had said: "I'm quite elated about being a part of the show. The script was engaging and gripping and the reason behind why I immediately agreed to be a part of it."
The series narrates the story of a married couple, a sudden bomb blast, and how one of them gets involved in it as a suspect.
Indraneil, on the other hand, has been acting in Bengali films for the past few years.
