‘Kumkum’ Actor Anuj Saxena Arrested By EOW For Cheating Investors

New Delhi: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of Mumbai has arrested Television actor Anuj Saxena on the charges of cheating. Anuj has been arrested for a 9-year-old case where the actor is allegedly accused of duping money of investors. Anuj has denied all the allegations against him and said that he did not have any position in the company while all these happened.

According to reports, it is alleged that the company promised to give a big return on investment. Based on the same, in 2012, many people had invested their hard-earned money in the company. But, when the investors came to take their money in 2015 after maturity, the company retracted. Anuj Saxena had even given a written guarantee to the investors, on the basis of which this entire action is being taken.

Anuj denied all the allegations against him in the court and said that he joined the company in 2015 and does not have any information about the transactions that took place before that. Believing in the scheme of Anuj’s company, Elder Pharmaceuticals, about 24000 investors had put their money. Around Rs 175 crore had been collected as well but now, there is no trace of that money.

During his interrogation session with the Mumbai Police, Anuj said that one of his companies is helping in the fight against COVID-19. He revealed that his company sells masks and sanitisers.

For the time being, Anuj Saxena has been arrested by the Mumbai Police.

Anuj Saxena has been seen starring in several hit shows including ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, ‘Kkusum’, ‘Kumkum’, ‘Kuchh Is Tara’, ‘Devyani’ and others.
