New Delhi: Malayalam movie industry star Mammootty started off 2024 with a high note. The megastar shared a new poster of his upcoming film 'Bramayugam'. The poster shows Mammootty in an unseen avatar creating quite a buzz sround the film. Like the first look poster of the film, a monochrome look is maintained in the new poster as well.
In the new poster shared by Mammootty, we see the megastar's character adorned with a crown as worn by practitioners of the ancient folk ritual art form of Theyaam, with attacjed horns and makeup that suggests a transcending of normal human existence.
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who gained recognition for his debut work Bhoothakaalam, 'Bramayugum' is a complete horror film set in the dark ages of Kerala. The film's tagline 'the age of madness' forms the core of the film.

Jointly produced by Night Shift Studios and YNot Studios, 'Bramayugam' also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in key roles.
Earlier, at the beginning of film's production, the director Rahul Sadasivan expressed his elation and spoke with Indian Express. He shared, "I am elated to be living the dream of directing the stalwart Mammookka. Bramayugam is a rooted story set in the dark ages of Kerala, and I am glad to be backed by the producers in pushing the boundaries of making this into an immersive film experience. I hope it will be a treat to Mammookka’s fans and fans of the genre across the world.”
The movie will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages apart from the original Malayalam. The release date of the film has not been finalized yet.
