Kannada actor Nagabhushana Hits Couple With His Car In Bengaluru, Woman Dies: Report

New Delhi: Kannada actor Nagabhushana is accused of running over a couple on the pavement in Bengaluru on Saturday. As of now, the man is undergoing surgery, while it has been reported that the woman passed very shortly after the accident. At Bengaluru's Kumaraswamy traffic police station, an FIR has been filed. The police classified this rash and careless driving in the complaint.

The two were strolling on a footpath along Vasantha Pura main road at around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday when Nagabhushana ran his car into them, according to India Today. The 'Tagaru Palya' actor is reported to have been on his way from Konanakunte to Uttarahalli when it all happened. He allegedly hit the pair first, then an electric pole.

Nagabhushana reportedly drove the couple to the hospital after the incident. Prema, a 48-year-old woman, passed away in the car, while Krishna, a 58-year-old man, was hurt in the knees, head, and stomach.

The actor was detained and the car was taken away for further investigation when the Kumaraswamy Layout Traffic Police arrived quickly to the spot. Partha, the victim's son, filed a report with the police.

According to Hindustan Times, Partha said, “I work at a company and my parents stay with me. On September 30 around 10 pm I was on Kanakapura road when I got a call from a person staying in my apartment. He told me that my parents have met with an accident. They said that a car hit them both.”

With 'Sankashta Kara Ganapathi', the Kannada actor made his acting debut in 2018. Since then, he has acted in numerous films. 'Badava Rascal', 'Daredevil Musthafa', 'Ikkat', 'Made in China', and others are some of them. The actor's most recent performance was in 'Kousalya Supraja Rama'. Darling Krishna, Milana Nagaraj, and Brinda Acharya also feature as the main actors in the comedy-drama. His work in 'Badava Rascal' earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He had been honoured with a SIIMA Award for Best Debutant Actor the previous year for the movie 'Ikkat'.
