New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran's film, 'Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life)’ directed by Blessy, appears to have hit a plateau in its domestic box office run. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the film grossed approximately Rs 3.75 crore in India on Wednesday, marking its lowest single-day earnings thus far.

During its opening week, Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) amassed approximately Rs 43.85 crore nett in India. The film's performance trajectory witnessed a steady decline following an impressive debut. On day one, it garnered Rs 7.6 crore nett across all languages, followed by Rs 6.25 crore nett on day two. Subsequent days saw fluctuations, with earnings of Rs 7.75 crore, Rs 8.7 crore, Rs 5.4 crore, and Rs 4.4 crore on days three through six, respectively and Rs 3.75 crore on the seventh day.
Released on March 28, the Malayalam film, also available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, has garnered significant attention. The survival drama, adapted from Benyamin's novel 'Goat Days,' revolves around the real-life ordeal of Najeeb, a migrant from Kerala. Trapped as a goatherd in a barren desert in the early '90s, Najeeb yearns to return home, depicting a poignant tale of human resilience and longing.
The film also features Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul, KR Gokul, and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles.

The film’s cinematographer Sunil KS recently shed light on a challenging nude sequence and offered insights into the depth of Prithviraj's commitment to his craft.
"For the naked scene, Prithviraj was fasting for three days, not even water on the last day; before the shoot, he took 30ML vodka to drain the remaining water from the body. He was carried in a chair to the location. We needed to lift him from the chair before the shot," Sunil recounted in an interview with The Cue Studio. Christopher Kanagaraj translated his statement and posted it on X.
