Sonam Kapoor And Anand Ahuja's New Delhi Residence Robbed Of Cash And Jewellery Worth Rs 1.41 Crore
The actor's mother-in-law lodged a complaint at Tughlaq Road police station.
New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's fans are in for a shocking news. The couple's Delhi residence has reportedly been robbed off and thieves have stolen off cash and jewellery worth Rs. 1.41 crore from the house.
The actor's mother-in-law lodged a complaint at Tughlaq Road police station. In lieu of the case being high profile, investigation was started immediately with senior police officials from New Delhi district taking the case seriously and forming special squads to carry out the investigation.
As per an ABP Marathi report, Sonam Kapoor's house has 25 employees besides 9 caretakers, drivers and gardeners and other employees. Investigation is still underway with the FSL team also being part of the investigation along with the crime team. The accused have not been identified yet. The high profile case was kept under the wraps for confidentiality purposes but the case has come to the fore recently.
According to a senior New Delhi police official, Sonam's in-laws house is located at 22 Amrita Shergill Marg. Sonam's in-laws Harish and Priya Ahuja live at the house with Anand's grandmother Sarla Ahuja. The case was reported at the Tughlaq Road police station by Sarla Ahuja, who reached the police station on February 23 and reported the theft of jewelery and cash from a cupboard in her room. Jewelry and cash were missing when the cupboard was inspected on February 11. Sarla Ahuja has said in her complaint that she had checked the jewelery and kept it in a cupboard two years ago.
The CCTV footage is being examined by the police from last year as well. Several policemen from Tughlaq Road police station are investigating the matter.
Recently, Sonam's father-in-law Harish Ahuja's firm, was also duped of Rs 27 crore. The police later on arrested 10 accused in the case.
Sonam Kapoor's husband Anand Ahuja lives in California with his uncle Sunil. He comes and goes here frequently. The Ahuja family's Sai Exports is a clothing company.
Currently, Sonam Kapoor who is expecting her first child with Anand Ahuja is in Mumbai at her father Anil Kapoor's residence.
