A case has been filed with the Mumbai Police accusing singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh of kidnapping.

New Delhi: A case has been filed with the Mumbai Police accusing singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and members of his crew of kidnapping and abusing the proprietor of an event management company following a disagreement over the cancellation of an event, an official said on Thursday.

According to the Mumbai Police, Vivek Raman filed a written complaint at the BKC police station in Mumbai against Honey Singh and other individuals.

"Vivek Raman, the owner of an event company, has lodged a complaint against Honey Singh and others for kidnapping, keeping him captive, and assaulting him," Mumbai Police said.

According to the authorities, he said that Honey Singh abducted him, held him captive, and abused him in a Mumbai hotel outside of the city. The complaint was filed on April 19, and it states that Raman, the complainant, hosted a concert for the singer on April 15 at Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The event had to be cancelled since there were issues with the financial transaction.

The BKC police personnel called the complainant after receiving the application, but so yet, he hasn't shown up for a police investigation, the complainant claimed.

In his complaint to the BKC police, the complainant said that Honey Singh and his team were upset over the event's cancellation, and that they later kidnapped him, held him hostage at a hotel in Mumbai, and attacked him.

He ordered that a case be filed against Singh and that the singer and his friends be taken into custody, according to the police.

According to the police, he demanded that a complaint be filed against Singh and that the singer and his friends be taken into custody. The police noted that an investigation is being conducted.

On the personal front, Honey Singh and his girlfriend Tina Thadani are reportedly no longer together. In January 2023, the rapper introduced his girlfriend at an event. According to rumours, the two have removed their photos of one another and unfollowed one another on social media.
