New Delhi: Bollywood actress Yami Gautam made her debut with Shoojit Sircar’s 2012 movie ‘Vicky Donor’ opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. She has also starred in television shows such as ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’ and ‘Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam’ before making her debut on big screen. After ‘Vicky Donor’, she went to star in popular movies like ‘Badlapur’, ‘Kaabil’, ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ among others. Yami Gautam is now all set to romance Diljit Dosanjh in Shaad Ali’s next. According to reports of a leading entertainment portal, the makers revealed that they have finally locked her to play the role of the female lead in the movie. Shaad Ali’s next will see Diljit Dosanjh in a unique role as the movie will revolve around male pregnancy. A source revealed to PinkVilla, “Yami Gautam has been locked to play the heroine's part in Shaad's next. This will be the first time Diljit and Yami will be romancing each other on screen. It is a mad cap family entertainer that revolves around a Punjabi couple's relationship and how their world turns around when the hero is diagnosed to be pregnant. The team wanted Yami because they felt she suited the character to the T.” The ‘Udta Punjab’ actor’s last Bollywood film ‘Good Newwz’ also revolved around pregnancy. The movie turned out to be a blockbuster. Reportedly, the shooting of Shaad Ali’s next is expected to commence around October after Dosanjh returns from the US. Yami Gautam’s next ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’ is all set to hit the digital platform soon. The movie is a Hindi romantic comedy film and also stars Vikrant Massey. Directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan, the film follows headstrong Ginny who meets Sunny for an arranged marriage, but turns him down. Watch this space for more updates.
