Yami Gautam Reveals When Her Love Story With 'Uri' Director Aditya Dhar Started

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar worked together in 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', which emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2019.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Yami Gautam took her fans by surprise when she announced her wedding with Aditya Dhar in June 2021. The ‘Kaabil’ star tied the knit with her ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ director in a secret ceremony in Himachal Pradesh in the presence of her family members and close friends.  

Yami Gautam-Aditya Dhar's Love Story

Yami, while talking to a leading daily, spilled the beans on love story with Aditya Dhar and revealed when their romance blossomed. In case you are thinking that they fell in love on the sets of ‘Uri’, we have to stop you right there. 

The newly married couple started their friendship during the promotions of their film in 2019, Yami told Hindustan Times. The ‘Bala’ actress said that she wouldn’t call it dating and revealed that she started interacted with him during this period, which turned into friendship.  

'Uri', which also starred Vicky Kaushal, emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2019. The movie received critical acclaim and managed to create ripples atthe box office.

The 'Vicky Donor' star further said that few people in the film industry knew about their relationship and she is thankful to them for 'respecting their privacy'. Yami told HT that both she and Aditya are 'private individuals' and they don't like to go on outings when asked how they managed to keep things a 'secret'.

How Yami Gautam Announced Her Wedding? 

The talented actress shared a heartfelt post along with a picture with her husband to inform the fans about her wedding. Both Yami and Aditya can be seen smiling whiling striking a pose for the camera. Several tinsel town celebs including Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Kangana Ranaut, Shraddha Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana wished the newly weds on the post. 

Yami Gautam’s Upcoming Films 

On the professional front, Yami will be next seen in ‘Bhoot Police’. The horror comedy co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Kapoor will premiere directly on a leading OTT platform. It will be available for viewing from September 17 on Disney+Hotstar.

Yami also has several exciting projects including 'Dasvi', 'A Thursday' and 'Lost' in her kitty
