WATCH: Udta Punjab trailer is out; Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt turn terrific performers

New Delhi: The much awaited trailer of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Udta Punjab’ is out on Saturday. Directed by "Ishqiya" helmer Abhishek Chaubey, the movie tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab. It has been co-produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures. Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Tommy Singh, a high on drugs rockstar. Alia Bhatt will be seen in the role of a destitute worker from Bihar, mouthing chaste Bihari dialogues in the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the doctor who is trying to eradicate the illegal transportation of drugs including medicinal ones that are sold without prescription. The film also stars  Diljit Dosanjh andPrabhjyot Singh.  It is slated to hit the silver screens on June 17.
