Tom Cruise's BMW Stolen In Birmingham, 'Mission: Impossible 7' Actor Loses Belongings Worth Thousands Of Pounds

Tom Cruise was said to be 'hopping mad' after he was informed about the theft, according to a leading British Tabloid.

Mumbai: Hollywood star Tom Cruise, currently busy shooting for ‘Mission Impossible 7’ in the United Kingdom, is reportedly fuming with anger. The 59-year-old's BMW X7 was stolen while he was busy filming important sequences of his much-awaited flick in Birmingham, according to a report in The Sun.  

The swanky vehicle was parked outside the Grand Hotel, where the ‘Top Gun’ star is staying. The thieves stole the car from the Church Street by using a scanner to clone the signal from BMW’s keyless ignition fob, the report added. Tom Cruise’s car had belongings worth thousands of pounds present in it during the theft.

How Tom Cruise Reacted To His Car’s Theft? 

The ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ star was said to be ‘hopping mad’ after he was told about the incident, as per The Sun. It was Cruise’s bodyguard, who noticed that the BMW was not present at the parking space. The police officers recovered the car in Smethwick, which is about three miles away from Church Street.

Although the police recovered Cruise’s car, they couldn’t find his belongings. “It's a huge embarrassment for the security team and the guy who had been driving it was hopping mad — but not as mad as Tom,” a source told The Sun.

Cruise ordered two servings of Chicken Tikka Masala at veteran singer Asha Bhosle's restaurant, Asha's, in Birmingham. He savoured the Indian dish, which is also quite popular in foreign countries.

“I was very happy to hear that Mr. Tom Cruise enjoyed his fine dining experience at Asha's (Birmingham) and I look forward to him visiting us again soon,” Asha Bhosle shared a picture of the Hollywood legend on Twitter.

Mission Impossible 7 Release Date

 The spy action thriller will hit the silver screens on May 27, 2022. The  Christopher McQuarrie directorial also stars Ethan Hunt; Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson in key roles. An eighth film in the spy franchise is slated to release on July 7, 2023. 

The filming for 'MI 7' has been interrupted several times due to the COVID-19 crisis.
