The White Tiger: FIRST LOOK Of Priyanka Chopra & Rajkummar Rao From Netflix's Original Out

The leading streaming giant unveiled the first look of Priyanka Chopra & Rajkummar Rao from the upcoming original film 'The White Tiger' on social media.

New Delhi: Netflix has unveiled the first look pictures of Priyanka Chopra, Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav from the upcoming original film 'The White Tiger'. The movie is official adaptation of Aravind Adiga's novel of the same name.  Filmmaker Ramin Bahrani, who has helmed films like 'Chop Shop' and 'At Any Price', has directed 'The White Tiger'. The streaming giant released two photos featuring Priyanka Chopra, who is playing the leading role in the flick. In one of the photos, Priyanka can be seen interacting with Gourav while looking all serious. Rajkummar Rao, who will be next seen in 'Chhalang', might turn out to be surprise package. He can be seen holding a bag while talking to Gourav. Netflix shared the photos on its official Twitter and Instagram handles along with the caption, " From writer-director Ramin Bahrani and executive producers @ava & @priyankachopra here's a first look at Adarsh Gourav, @RajkummarRao and @priyankachopra in THE WHITE TIGER, based on the fantastic Aravind Adiga novel."

Adarsh Gourav will be seen as Balram Halwai while Rajkummar Rao will essay the role of Balram’s employer Ashok. Priyanka Chopra will play the character of Ashok's wife. PeeCee and Rajkummar Rao will be seen together for the very first time in a project. Priyanka, last seen in 'The Sky Is Pink', had wrapped up the shoot in December 2019. She had shared a post on social media after completing the schedule of the film. "Happy tired.. but so excited to have wrapped #thewhitetiger. It was such a pleasure to work with the best in the business in every department," Priyanka wrote on Instagram.

The White Tiger, which was published in 2008, bagged the 40th Man Booker Prize in the same year.  The novel focuses on the story of Balram Halwai, who becomes a successful entrepreneur. Book adaptation is always a tricky business but Ramin has a solid reputation when it comes to making films. We hope the director does full justice to the project. Watch this space for more updates!
