Taapsee Pannu Slams Kangana Ranaut Says Both Sushant & I Have A Similar Journey!

In a recent interview with a leading news channel, the ‘Thappad’ actress uncovers some facts about her journey in Bollywood, discloses she lost films to star kids. Read on.

Debates have made their home in Bollywood since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment and prior to that the dispute of ‘insiders vs outsiders’ started gearing up. In an interview with a leading news channel, Kangana Ranaut called out Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker as ‘needy outsiders’. She even tagged them as ‘B-grade’ actresses and this started a social media war amongst them. Recently, while giving an interview to a leading news channel, Taapsee hit back at Kangana and revealed some unknown facts of the industry. The ‘Mulk’ actress shared that she lost films to star kids and had been replaced unprofessionally in many films. She revealed that being an ‘outsider’ is not easy in Bollywood and that there are only two ways to succeed. The first being depending on the bigwigs to have consistent support and the second being depending on yourself regardless of any support. The actress vocalized that she opted for the second path and chose to be ‘atmanirbhar’. When asked about her views on ‘outsider’ and Sushant Singh Rajput, she revealed that Sushant and her had a very similar journey. She shed light on the fact that both of them are from Engineering background and have set their foot in the film industry in 2013. She said, “Outsider is the label or tag that we get. Actors like me Kangana, Swara Bhasker, who are not from a film family. We are all outsiders and we have had our journey. I did not want to bring this up at this time, but both Sushant and I have had similar journeys. Both of us are engineers, we entered Hindi cinema in 2013. He came via television, I came from the south film industry. Both of these are considered tags that need to be shed when you enter the industry. The kind of hardship that he has gone through, coming from Bihar, I don’t think a person like that can be so fragile. We have studied in schools right next to each other in Delhi. But I don’t want to talk about those similarities right now because I have never met that person. We have never even crossed paths at events. So I suddenly can’t get into the debate just to get my two bits of attention and try to have my personal vendetta. We all fight our own battles, Sushant was fighting his. I was replaced in Pati Patni Aur Woh, she didn’t come and support me, I didn’t ask for it also.” The ‘Pink’ star also told that the Industry is one part of ‘nepotism’ and also that the media and audience are equally responsible for the same.
