New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen, who turned a year older on Friday (November 19), shared a post on social media to inform her fans that she underwent a successful surgery ahead of her birthday. Without divulging any details about the surgery, the former Miss Universe revealed that she is recovering with each passing day. 

Sushmita said that she travelled to 'address her health' after wrapping up the shoot of 'Aarya 2'. She added that she underwent surgery on November 16, three days before her 46th birthday. The ‘Main Hoon Na’ actress also expressed her gratitude towards her fans for showering her with love and blessings.  

"A BIG ‘Thank you’ to all of you super generous & loving souls…unending showering of good wishes & blessings coming my way…making this birthday yet another one to be cherished," Sen wrote while sharing a picture on Instagram.

She added, "I feel reborn this birthday in more ways than I can describe in words."

Sushmita Sen To Sport New Look

Sushmita thanked her followers for their positive energy and love and asked them to send their blessings to her. "Letting you in on a little secret….I completed AARYA 2 & then travelled to address my health….had a successful surgery on 16th Nov & I am healing marvellously every passing day…in this beautiful place!!! I feel the goodness of all your energies & the strength of your love!!! Keep it coming," she wrote.

The original 'Dilbar' girl said that she will sport a new look post her surgery. She said, "My 46th birthday marks a healthy new beginning, also sports a new look, lots to look forward to…after all, the greatest gift is being ALIVE!!"

On the professional front, Sushmita will be next seen in 'Aarya 2'. The second season of the crime web series will premiere on Disney+Hotstar. Sushmita made her digital debut with Ram Madhvani's 'Aarya', which released in June 2020. She received rave reviews from her performance in the series.
