Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide: Actor's Cremation To Be Held On Monday After Family Reaches Mumbai
The latest update on the actor's suicide is that ambulance has reached his residence and his mortal remains is being taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.
'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' fame Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai, The 34-year-old actor was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra on Sunday morning, and a domestic help alerted the police. His mortal remains were taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. Reports say the funeral ceremony of the actor will be performed on Monday considering restrictions in place due to coronavirus lockdown. His father and other family members are likely to fly down to Mumbai to conduct the final rites on Monday afternoon. According to ABP News correspondent Ganesh Thakur, Rajput's friends were also present at his home, when he committed suicide. They broke open his room when he didn't respond. As of now no suicide note has been found.
Last seen in Netflix film Drive, Rajput was one of the bright stars of the younger generation. He has worked in films such as Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni biopic and Kedarnath. Rajput is best known for his titular role in Neeraj Pandey's 2016 release, 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', the biopic of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
He made his film debut in Abhishek Kapoor's 2013 release, "Kai Po Che", and was seen in films like "Detective Byomkesh Bakshi", "Raabta", "Kedarnath" and "Shudh Desi Romance".
Incidentally, Sushant's ex manager had committed suicide a few days ago.
