Sushant Singh Rajput's Last Co-Star Sanjana Sanghi On #DilBecharaOnBigScreen Debate: 'Let's NOT Make It About Size Of Screen'
Sushant Singh Rajput's fans had earlier trended the hashtag #DilBecharaOnBigScreen on Twitter. They are disheartened after the makers announced that the film will premiere on an OTT platform.
New Delhi: The tragic news of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has left everyone teary-eyed. Fans are finding it difficult to come to terms with his loss. They are mourning his death by paying tribute on social media. The fans have flooded Instagram and Twitter with throwback pictures and videos of the late actor.
The makers of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ announced on Thursday that the flick will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar. The much-awaited movie will release on July 24 on the OTT platform. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial will also be available for non-subscribers.

Although movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the film to release on the OTT platform, several fans have expressed their displeasure over ‘Dil Bechara’ not releasing in the cinema halls. The fans had earlier trended the hashtag #DilBecharaOnBigScreen to ask the producers to release the film on the silver screen.
Sushant’s last co-star Sanjana Sanghi, who will make her Bollywood debut with ‘Dil Bechara’, penned a post on social media and requested the audience to watch the film to pay tribute to the actor. She urged everyone to not debate on the size of the screen.

“Let’s make this a time to celebrate a legendary life, a film? A time to give a tribute, to embrace these extremely challenging circumstances we all are in. And not a time to revolt, asking for something that in our present reality cannot be made possible. Bloockbuster banani hai, toh apke pyaar se hi ban jayegi! Hamesha Box office ki zarurat toh nahi hain na?
Let NOT make it about the size of the screen we get to watch this labour of love on, his last, and in my humble belief, his finest. Let’s instead make it about the size of our hearts, that we can make as big as we wish to, and fill up with as much love, joy and pride as we want. Let’s cherish it. Relish it. Celebrate it. In any and every way we can?,” Sanjana wrote in her heartfelt post.
‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra had shared an emotional note on social while announcing the release date of the film. He said that the ‘Raabta’ actor was not only the hero of his directorial debut but also a dear friend.
“Sushant was not just the hero of my debut film as a director but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. We had been close right from Kai Po Che to Dil Bechara. He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamt together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be releasing this film without him. There can be no better way to celebrate him and his talent. He always showered immense love on me while I was making it and his love will guide us as we release it,” Chhabra wrote.
Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor’s family members recently organized a prayer meet for their well-wishers at their house in Patna. Mumbai Police has received the final postmortem report of ‘Kai Po Che’ actor, which mentioned the cause of death as ‘asphyxia due to hanging’.
