He reacted to the criticism being faced by the Mumbai Police in regards to the high-profile case. He stated that Mumbai Police is not inefficient in one of the events organised by a Marathi News Channel. He further assured Sushant’s fans to trust the Mumbai Police and provide whatever information they have to them. CM Uddhav Thackeray also sheds light upon the fact that the Police are COVID-19 warriors and distrusting them is an insult. The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis recently took his Twitter and wrote about the public sentiments related to SSR’s death. He also hit the state government in his tweet. Devendra Fadnavis tweeted, “There is a huge public sentiment about handing over SushantSinghRajput case to CBI but looking at the reluctance of State Government, atleast @dir_ed ED can register an ECIR since misappropriation and money laundering angle has come out.” Replying to this, PTI quoted Uddhav Thackeray saying, “The opposition can even bring Interpol or followers of the Namaste Trump event into the inquiry. Devendra Fadnavis should understand that it is the same police whom he has worked within the last five years.” He added, “The state police and Mumbai police are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. They are COVID warriors and not to trust them is an insult to them. I would like to tell Rajput's fans to trust the Mumbai police and give whatever information they have to them. You can criticise if the case is not taken to its logical conclusion. We will interrogate and punish the guilty. However, please don't use this case as a Maharashtra versus Bihar issue. This is the most deplorable thing to do.” ALSO READ| Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sister Shweta Singh Writes To PM Modi; Appeals Urgent Scan Of Case In the meanwhile, Mumbai Police and Bihar Police are rigorously investigating the case in a detailed manner.
