The special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act court hearing the bail plea of Rhea Chakraborty's younger brother Showik Chakraborty and others, has extended the judicial custody till November 3. Bollywood actress and Sushant Singh Rajput's live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and few others were arrested in connection with a drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput death. The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested them under various sections of NDPS as sufficient evidences were found against her.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been probing the ‘drug angle’ in the case and arrested Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and a number of drug peddlers till now. NCB had arrested Showik Chakraborty on September 4 and he continued to be in the NCB custody till September 9. He was in later remanded in judicial custody and has been in jail since.

While Rhea got a huge relief when the Bombay High Court granted bail to the 28-year-old actress, Showik's bail plea was rejected. The siblings were earlier supposed to be in judicial custody till October 6.

Meanwhile, the special court also remanded Agisilaos Demetriades, the brother of prominent Bollywood actor’s girlfriend who is accused of being involved in a major supplier of all kinds of drugs in the Mumbai city. Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found hanging at his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14 this year.
