Drugs Case: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty does not seem to be getting relief any soon as a special NDPS Court has extended her judicial custody along with her brother  Showik Chakraborty and others, till 20th October. The siblings were earlier supposed to be  in judicial custody till October 6.

Rhea the girlfriend of deceased Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput,  and her brother Showik Chakraborty are among the 20 persons who have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as part of the probe surrounding the drugs angle linked with Sushant's death case.

Meanwhile, it is pertinent  to note that the alleged murder angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death has been ruled out in AIIMS forensic report, establishing that the actor had committed suicide. However, a concrete conclusion cannot be reached as Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting its probe in the matter.

In the wake of the AIIMS forensic report, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput had died by suicide and demanded the release of Rhea Chakroborty while alleging that she was a "victim of political conspiracy".  "Rhea is innocent and should be released without further harassment to her. She has been a victim of political conspiracy," Chowdhury said.
