Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Rhea Chakraborty Records Her Statement With ED, Comes Out After 8-Hour Long Interrogation
The ED officials grilled Rhea Chakraborty for over 8 hours at their office in Mumbai.
New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials grilled Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty for over 8 hours in connection with a money laundering case related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The ‘Jalebi’ actress, who was accompanied by her brother Showik Chakraborty, left the ED officer after 8 hours of interrogation on Friday (August 7) in Mumbai.
According to ABP News sources, the ED officials had prepared a list of about 50 questions for questioning the 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actress. She reportedly couldn't answer many questions and responded to them by saying that she couldn't recall what is being talked about.

The ED officials also questioned Rhea's former manager Shruti Modi and her brother Showik Chakraborty in connection with Sushant's case. The agency has asked Rhea to share her Income Tax Return (ITR) details.
A report in IANS said that Rhea Chakraborty was asked about the details of movable and immovable properties, companies in which the actress and her family members are stakeholders. The officials also asked her to furnish details of her address, family members, profession, bank account details and credit cards.
Rhea was also asked to give details about how she knew Sushant, and for how long, the report in IANS said.
The ED had registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against the 'Chehre' actress on the basis of Sushant's father's complaint in Patna. The agency had earlier rejected Rhea's plea in which she requested her recording of statement be postponed till the hearing in SC.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty, her parents Indrajit Chakraborty & Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, and unknown others on Thursday (August 6). They have been booked under various sections of the IPC including abetment of suicide.

“CBI has today registered a case related to the death of Sh. Sushant Singh Rajput on the request of Bihar Govt and further notification from Govt of India and taken over the investigation of the case, earlier registered at police station Rajiv Nagar, Patna vide FIR no.241/2020 dated 25-7-2020. The case was registered against 6 accused and others,” the agency said in a statement.
Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to social media to share a post after Rhea was questioned by the ED officials. She wrote, "We will get justice... we will find the truth!! #warriors4ssr #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #godiswithus." She can be seen with a placard in her hand, which had the message, "We will WIN!! Love you Bhai. God is with us."
Sushant’s case took a new turn when his father KK Singh registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, her family members and others at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police station. He accused the 'Chehre' actress of threatening his son and keeping him away from his family.
In his six-page long FIR, Singh alleged that Rs 15 crores were transferred from Sushant's bank accounts to other accounts which were not related to him.
