'Sooryavanshi' Weekend Box-Office Collection: Akshay Kumar's Movie Emerges As 'Diwali Gift' For Film Industry

New Delhi: The Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer action film 'Sooryavanshi' has made its mark by earning a whopping 77.08 crore in just three days of its release. The much-awaited movie released on the occasion of Diwali on November 5, 2021. Enjoying a bumper weekend, the film earned 26.29 crore on the first day itself.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted,"Sooryavanshi brings joy, hope, optimism back...emerges as a Diwali gift for the industry...Runs Riot at Box Office on Day 3.Proves yet again...Well-made entertainers will never go out of fashion."

According to Taran Adarsh, 'Sooryavanshi' is earning better at the box-office than other Akshay Kumar starrer movies that were released pre-COVID. He tweeted: "Sooryavanshi' is trading better than other Akshay Kumar hits like Kesari, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. These were released in pre-Covid times with 100 per cent occupancy in India. Sooryavanshi is post-Covid times with 50 per cent occupancy."

The movie's latest song 'Tip Tip' that was released yesterday has fans going gaga over the lead actor Katrina's moves. Katrina shared a glimpse of the song on her Instagram. The song is a rendition of Akshay-Raveena's iconic song from the movie 'Mohra'.
