Siddharth Tweets 'Hindi Speaking Junta Is Calling Me South Ka Swara Bhasker', Actress Reacts

Siddharth, who has been quite vocal on different issues in India, said that Hindi speaking people are comparing him with Swara Bhasker.

Chennai: Actor Siddharth trended on social media after he alleged that BJP Tamil Nadu IT cell leaked his phone number. The ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor claimed that he and his family members received ‘death and rape’ threats after his number was leaked. Many fans came out in his support and trended the hashtag #IStandWithSiddharth on Twitter after he made the shocking allegations. 

Siddharth, who has been quite vocal about his opinions on social media, said that the Hindi speaking people have compared himself to Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker. Both Swara and Siddharth openly express their views on different socio-political issues in the country.

“Hindi speaking junta calling me south ka Swara Bhasker. Just to clarify...I would happily be Swara from anywhere or anytime. She's awesome and a cutie,” Siddharth wrote on the micro-blogging site. 

Swara responded to his tweet and lauded him for raising his voice on different issues in the country. “You are India ka Siddharth and we are soooooo thankful for you! Also, hey Hottie!,” the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress tweeted.  

Siddharth received police protection after the actor claimed that he and his family members got threats. However, the 'Aruvam' star turned down the police protection, stating that officers' time should be used for something else during the COVID-19 crisis.

The South star thanked the police for proving him protection in the wake of threats. “Thank you @tnpoliceoffl for the protection. I am the first person in my entire family's history to be given the same. However, I would politely like to give up this privilege so the same officers' time is better used for something else during this pandemic. Thank you again,” he wrote.

On the professional front, Siddharth will be next seen in 'Indian 2'. The movie also stars Kamal Haasan, Nedumudi Venu, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh.

The talented actor also has 'Navarasa' and 'Maha Samudram' in his kitty.
