'Shikara' Trailer: Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Film Revisits Exodus Of Kashmiri Pandits

Featuring newcomers Aadil Khan and Sadia in lead roles, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Shikar' is slated to hit the theatres on February 7.

Bringing back the story of Kashmiri pandits from the pages of history, the trailer of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's much-awaited film, 'Shikara' has finally been released today (7th December). The trailer features Aadil Khan as Shiv Kumar Dhar and Sadia as Shanti Dhar, who are madly in love with each other in the conflict-ridden state of Kashmir of the year 1990. The film is filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s tribute to his mother. The trailer of 'Shikara' begins with Shiv and Shanti who happily living in Kashmir where the discomfort starts to brew for the Kashmiri Pandits. The film's story revoles around Kashmiri pandits and their sufferings during the exodus. Highlighting how the threats became the message for the community and the fact how 4 lakh Indians had to flee their homes as they continue to live as refugees, 'Shikara' presents an engulfing and gripping trailer. 'Shikara' is Aadil Khan-Sadia's first film and the duo looks promising in the trailer. The trailer definitely serves the potent dose of history, reality, curiosity and thrilling story line.
