Shah Rukh Khan Praises Karan Johar For Teaser Of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, 'You Have Come A Long Way Baby'

Karan Johar released the teaser of his upcoming directorial venture 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Karan Johar released the teaser of his upcoming directorial venture 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on Tuesday. The teaser shows Ranveer and Alia fall in love and fight with each other in this epic family drama. The film also holds special importance as it releases on the occasion of Karan Johar's 25th anniversary in the industry, who return to the director's chair after a hiatus of seven years.

Bollywood superstar and Karan Johar's best friend Shah Rukh Khan, who has been a part of a majority of his film projects, went all praises for the filmmaker as the teaser of the film released on Tuesday. Shah Rukh Khan also went on to share a special post for his 'baby', wishing him all the best for the film and his future.

Karan Johar assisted his cousin and filmmaker Aditya Chopra as an Assistant Director on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. He also had a brief role in the film as one of Shah Rukh's friends. Karan Johar then debuted as a director with 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in 1995, starring SRK, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

Being all praises for Karan Johar, Sha Rukh Khan shared, "Wow @karanjohar 25 years as a filmmaker. You’ve come a long way baby!! Your father and my friend Tom uncle must be seeing this from heaven and feeling extremely happy and proud. Reacting to Shah Rukh's poster, an emotional Karan shared on his Instagram stories, "Bhai... I love you, now and forever."

Shah Rukh Khan played the lead role in Karan Johar's directorial ventures, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and 'My Name Is Khan.' He was last seen in a cameo in Karan's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.'

'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in major roles in addition to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The much-awaited romance drama 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' releases in theatres on July 28.
