In a conversation with Radio Nasha, Farah shared that the film’s budget was very less. "The film was made on a shoestring budget. Shah Rukh Khan was paid only Rs 25,000 for his role. Interestingly, I was the highest-paid person on the set—I received Rs 5,000 per song, and there were six songs in the film, so I ended up making Rs 30,000," she said.

"Couldn't afford professional dancers"
She also shared that for one of the songs in the film, they couldn't afford professional dancers, so they turned to local Goans for help. "Since they had no experience with lip-syncing or catching the beat, Shah Rukh had to lie down out of the frame and pinch them when the beat came to get them to move at the right time," Farah recounted.
“We didn’t even have assistants for each department, so everyone had to help out wherever they could," she further said.
'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ also starred Deepak Tijori, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, and Naseeruddin Shah. It is one of the most loved films of King Khan. Shah Rukh Khan’s portrayal of a loveable underdog in the film still continues to resonate with audiences, making it a beloved classic.

In an old interview on STAR Gold, Shah Rukh said, "According to me, I have been working for 16 to 17 years but this is one movie that will remain very close to my heart. At that time I was not a producer. But there is one wish that will remain unfulfilled that I wish I had made this movie."
He added, “I would like to be like Sunil but I don't think I have the innocence and purity of Sunil. But Kundan has that quality of innocence and sweetness like [TV series] Wagle Ki Duniya. The never-say-die attitude that Kundan's character have is very enduring. He can bang his head on a wall and still say that I am going to win."
At the 39th Filmfare Awards, the film won Best Film (Critics), and Best Actor (Critics) for Shah Rukh.
