New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was admitted to the Lilavati hospital a few days back after he complained of chest discomfort and breathlessness. He immediately went through a swab test for COVID-19 and fortunately tested negative. He was discharged from the hospital some days later and soon after the unfortunate news of the ‘Agneepath’ actor getting diagnosed with lung cancer broke out. Wife Maanayata on hearing the news, immediately rushed back to Mumbai from Dubai with their two children in a special flight to support the actor in these difficult times. Dutt’s fans from all over the world have been praying for his speedy recovery. The actor will undergo treatment in India. Earlier today, the ‘Khal Nayak’ actor was spotted with his wife in Mumbai while leaving for the hospital. Sanjay Dutt was seen wearing a blue outfit with a black mask and Maanayata Dutt was donning a baby pink kurta with a matching pink mask. The ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ actor asked the paparazzi to pray for his well-being.

Also, thanking everyone for their prayers and wishes, Dutt’s wife Maanayata said in a statement that Sanju and his family has been a fighter. Her statement read, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity.”

On the professional front, Sanjay Dutt’s next ‘Sadak 2’ will hit the digital platform Disney+Hotstar on August 28. He will also be giving voice in a computer-animated Bollywood film ‘Koochie Koochie Hota Hai’ directed by Tarun Mansukhani and co-produced by Dharma Productions and Prana Studios. He will also be seen portraying the character of ‘Adheera’ in ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’. Watch this space for the latest updates.
