New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty were snapped by the paparazzi on Sunday (January 3) morning in Mumbai. Rhea, who remained in limelight ever since Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed an FIR against her, requested the shutterbugs to not follow her. The sister-brother duo made their first public appearance in 2021 in Bandra. The Chakraborty family is reportedly busy hunting for their new house in the Maximum City.

What Did Rhea Tell The Paparazzi?


The 'Jalebi' actress asked the paps to not follow her and her brother Showik before getting into the car. She told them, "No, please don't follow us'. Rhea donned a pink t-shirt which had 'Love is power' written on it while her brother sported a white t-shirt and black jacket.

Rhea didn't interact with the paparazzi when she headed towards a building in Bandra. The 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actress was being followed by the photographers for photos and videos.

Sushant's father had lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, her family members and others under various sections of the IPC including abetment to suicide at Patna's Rajiv Nagar Police station in July 2020. The Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau are probing SSR's death case.

The NCB arrested Rhea and Showik in a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death case in September 2020. The Bombay High Court granted bail to the actress on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. Rhea walked out of Mumbai's Byculla jail after staying behind the bars for 28 days.

A special NDPS court granted bail to her brother Showik Chakraborty on December 2020. The NCB arrested the siblings for allegedly procuring and financing drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.

Last month, Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde requested the CBI to reveal the findings of their investigation in Sushant's death case. "Whatever may be the Circumstances, the CBI should come out with its findings after 4 months of investigations by the premier investigating agency of the country. It is high time that there is a closure to this sad event," Maneshinde said in a statement.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also urged the the agency to reveal whethere the 'Dil Bechara' actor's death was 'suicide or murder'.

On the professional front, Rhea will be next seen in 'Chehre'. Rumi Jaffrey, who has directed the film, said in an interview that the actress will return to work in early 2021.
