'I Cherish Your Friendship': Shabana Azmi Shares Throwback Gem With Rekha On Her Birthday
Rekha Birthday: Shabana Azmi went down the memory lane and shared a throwback photo to wish the 'Umrao Jaan' actress.
Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actress Rekha, known for her acting prowess, turned a year older on Sunday (October 10). Considered one of the finest actresses of Hindi cinema, Rekha has featured in over 180 films in different languages. Several tinsel town celebs have wished the ‘Umrao Jaan’ star on her 67th birthday on social media.
Shabana Azmi took to Instagram to share a throwback gem from Filmfare Awards. Rekha can be seen kissing Azmi in the throwback picture, which was clicked at the prestigious awards ceremony.
The ‘Arth’ actress said that she cherishes her friendship with Rekha and hoped for her well-being. “Salgirah mubarak Re. Jeete raho khush raho . Bahut saara pyar. I cherish our friendship, your warmth and your humour. Salamat raho (Wishing you a very happy birthday. Stay happy. Sending you love),” Shabana wrote on Instagram.
Fashion designer Manish Malhotra dropped heart emojis on the post. Fans have also flooded the comments section with their messages.
Kangana Ranaut Calls Rekha Her Godmother
The 'Thalaivii' actress shared a photo with Rekha and showered her with warm wishes. The two B-town divas can be seen flashing their million-dollar smiles while striking a pose for the camera.
"Happy birthday to my Godmother dear Rekha Ji. Epitome of grace, elegance and beauty," the 'Panga' actress wrote on her Instagram story.
On the professional front, Rekha was last seen on the big screen in a special appearance in the song ‘Rafta Rafta’, which featured in the film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se’. The 'Khoon Bhari Mang' star recently featured in a special promo for 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin'. She also lent her voice to the promo of Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss 15'.
