Ranveer Singh In Don 3? Shah Rukh Khan Fans Trend #NoSRKNoDon On Twitter
Nostalgic fans have been writing long messages, creating memes, sharing clips from 'Don' and 'Don 2'.
New Delhi: 'Don 3' has been much anticipated all these years but more so after the blockbuster of a film 'Pathaan' which Shah Rukh Khan delivered at the beginning of 2023. Now, on Tuesday, filmmaker-actor and producer Farhan Akhtar announced 'Don 2' with a short teaser and a background score with no official news about the main cast. Soon after the announcement was shared about a new mysterious cast member, several rumours and reports began circulating about Ranveer Singh playing the Don.
However, ever since the 'Don 3' announcement happened, fans have been treding #NoSRKNoDon on microblogging site Twitter. Even Instagram is flooded with nostalgic posts about SRK being the perfect person to return to the franchise in 2025 and no one else.
An SRK's die hard fan account elaborated on the entire incident stating that after the success of 'Pathaan', Farhan Akhtar got an idea for 'Don 3' which SRK himself wanted to do for the last decade. But that the production went with Ranveer Singh for many reasons.
"Basically, @FarOutAkhtar was pretending not to have a plot for #Don3 for over a decade. During whole that period, #SRK wanted to happen it. Just after #Pathaan, He suddenly got the script & #ShahRukhKhan rejected multiple ideas for many reasons. (Crossover concept, Previous Starcasts fading & Relation with Excel since 2018). They went with Ranveer Singh.The industry is full of Opportunistic, and @iamsrk is well aware. He knows when to opt-out. His filmography doesn't depend on one. If he can create 100 Rohit Shetty, then he can make more like Don. SRK has Moved On, We as a Fan should too."
Many conspiracy theories from various fan pages and such speculations have been floating on the #NoSRKNoDon trend since Tuesday afternoon.
While no official annnouncemnet regarding Ranveer Singh has been made, mnay reports and media publications have hinted at the possibility of the 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' actor as the next 'Don'
