Rajkummar Rao’s Improvisation In Stree 2 Is The Costliest In Indian Cinema's History, Here’s What The Actor Did
In a recent podcast, Abhishek Banerjee, who essays the role of Janaa in the film, shared how he and Rajkummar Rao improvised dialogues on the sets to everyone's surprise.
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Stree 2' has been breaking all box-office records, grossing over Rs 600 crore and inching closer to the Rs 1000 crore mark with its spectacular theatrical run. Not just the film's storyline but the actors have also been garnering praises for their performances in the horror-comedy.
In a recent podcast, Abhishek Banerjee, who essays the role of Janaa in the film, shared how he and Rajkummar Rao improvised dialogues on the sets to everyone's surprise. However, the makers also had to pay a hefty amount for one of the improvisations by Rajkummar.

Rajkummar Rao essays the lead role in the horror-comedy, making his character a memorable one with his witty dialogues and his charismatic performance. His version of the popular song 'Calm Down' in the film, left the audience in splits. However, very few know that it was an improvisation done by the actor on the spot.
Abhishek revealed that the improvisation also cost the makers Rs 25 lakh as they had to acquire the rights for the song. Sharing details, he said, "Rajkummar Rao ne aajtk k itihaas ka sabse mehenga improvisation kia hai."
The actor also shared how he improvised a dialogue for Pankaj Tripathi.

Even if the makers had to pay a hefty amount, it was absolutely worth it as the scene remains one of the most memorable ones from the film.
