New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their firstborn just a few days ago via surrogacy. The couple gave everyone a happy surprise with the announcement.

Even though the couple did not let any air out about their family plans, it seems that they had begun the preparations for the same much earlier. People has reported recently that the two spent months renovating their newly purchased home in LA to make it more kid-friendly after they moved in.

The couple purchased a property in Encino, California recently and converted it into their home. According to People’s report, Nick and Priyanka were planning of growing their family when they made this lavish purchase. People quoted a source saying, “When they bought the house together, they had children in mind. They were hoping to have kids and needed a place with a lot of outdoor space and greenery.” It further stated that the couple spent months renovating their home after moving in to make it more ‘family-friendly’.

When PC and Nick purchased this property in Encino, it was already in the news. It is one of the most expensive properties in the neighbourhood and the couple put in USD 20 million to secure the house, according to Dirt. Pictures from the couple’s Diwali bash that went viral were also thrown at this same LA house. In one such picture, a wall in the house is seen adorned with the couples framed ‘gathbandhan’.

For the uninitiated, PC and Nick took to their Instagram to announce that they have welcomed their first child via surrogacy. Even though the couple has not revealed the gender of their baby, it is widely speculated that their firstborn is a girl who arrived 12 weeks early.
