Model-turned actress Poonam Pandey was arrested by Police in North Goa after a complaint was filed against her for shooting an 'obscene video'. Goa Forward, a local opposition party in the state, registered the FIR against the 'Nasha' actress for allegedly taking part in an obscene act in a property owned by Water Resources Department. The women's wing of the party also filed a complaint against Pandey for shooting 'vulgar' video at Chapoli Dam. The police are investigating and further sections may be added as the investigation proceeds," Pankaj Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP) South Goa was quoted as saying by ANI.

Writer Apurva Asrani pointed out Milind Soman's nude picture and compared it with Poonam's video, calling out the people for lauding the 55-year-old actor but slamming Pandey for 'obscenity'. The 'Simran' writer pointed out double standards and said that both Poonam and Milind stripped to their birthday suits but the former received flak for doing so. He tweeted, "Both stripped down to their birthday suits in #Goa recently. Pandey partly, Soman completely. Pandey is in legal trouble--for obscenity. Soman is being lauded for his fit body at age 55. I guess we are kinder to our nude men than to our nude women."

For the uninitiated, Milind Soman celebrated his 55th birthday by running nude on a beach in Goa. His photo went viral on social media in no time. The 'Four More Shots' star received praises for maintaining such a fit physique even at the age of 55. Poonam Pandey set several tongues wagging when she accused her husband Sam Bombay of assaulting and threatening her. Sam was arrested after she filed a complaint against him in South Goa, a few days after their hush-hush wedding. The couple got hitched in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their loved ones in September 2020 in Mumbai.
