Pakistani Actress Meera Seeks Help From PM Imran Khan, Alleges 'Land-Grabber Kidnapped Her Mother'
Pakistani actress Meera accused her tenant of kidnapping her mother and trying to 'illegally' snatch family property.
Lahore: Pakistani actress Meera has accused her tenant, Mian Shahid Mahmood, of kidnapping her mother Shafqat Zahra Bukhari and trying to illegally take over her family property. The ‘Kasak’ star, while talking to a Pakistani website, said that she has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene in the matter and take required action.
Meera Claims Her Mother Has Been Kidnapped
The actress alleged that she is being threatened by Mian, who earlier promise to live at her family property as a tenant. She told the website that he is attempting to ‘illegally’ snatch away her family property.
Meera said that she has submitted an application to Capital City Police Office (CCPO) Lahore over the matter.

“I am being threatened by Mian Shahid Mahmood, he is a land-grabber who is trying to illegally take over my family property after agreeing to live there as a tenant. This person kidnapped my mother and now he is doing his best to get hold of my family property. I have submitted an application to CCPO Lahore as well, and appeal to the PM of Pakistan to take notice of this issue,” Meera told Express Tribune.
She further said that she is waiting for government’s action against the ‘property-grabbing elements’.
Mian Accuses Meera’s Mother & Brother Of Fraud
Mian has claimed that Meera’s mother and brother Ahsan have duped him, a report in Tribute said. He submitted an application to CCPO Lahore and alleged that Meera’s mother didn’t hand over the property documents to him after he purchased the property from her.
"I purchased the property from Meera’s mother and also made the payment. However, when I asked for the property documents Shafqat Zahra did not hand them over," the application read as quoted by Tribune.

Meera’s Bollywood Films
The 44-year-old actress made her Bollywood debut with Soni Razdan’s ‘Nazar’ opposite Ashmit Patel in 2005. She later went to star in Hindi films like 'Kasak', 'Bhadaas' and 'Bumper Draw', to name a few.
On the professional front, Meera will be next seen in a special appearance in a Pakistani film titled ‘Cha Jaa Re’.
