Oscar Nominations 2023 List: Check Out List Of Qualifying Movies And Nominations Predictions

The final list of nominees for Oscars 2023 will be announced on January 24.

New Delhi: The final list of nominees for the famous golden award, which will be announced this evening, will include all of the Oscars 2023 hopefuls. The big event for world cinema is only a few months away. In the entire world, especially among Indian fans, there is eager anticipation to hear which of their favourite actors or films have been picked. Given that we have not one, but four Oscar contenders this year—SS Rajamouli's 'RRR', the Gujarati movie 'Chhello Show' (The Last Film Show), Shaunak Sen's documentary ''All That Breathes', and lastly the Netflix documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers'—India has a fair stake in the Academy Awards.

Owing to its highly publicised Oscar campaign, which lasted over the latter half of last year and the beginning of 2023, Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR, which stars Ram Charan and NTR Jr. in the lead, is predicted to receive numerous nominations. In addition to Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor, the film's makers had also entered it in other categories. The Oscars shortlist was previously announced, and the 'RRR' song 'Naatu Naatu' has already made it there.

However, it did not receive India's vote for the Oscars. Instead, India submitted 'Chhello Show', which made the Best International Film shortlist.

Predictions for the Oscars 2023

There is much talk about which movie will take home the big trophy at the Oscars. Nevertheless, Steven Spielberg (for the semi-autobiographical film 'The Fabelmans'), Martin McDonagh ('The Banshees of Inisherin'), Tod Field ('Tar'), and Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan ("Everything Everywhere All At Once") are among the films that are likely to make the list.

Bill Nighy ('Living'), Colin Farrell ('The Banshees of Inisherin'), Brendan Fraser ('The Whale'), Austin Butler ('Elvis'), and Paul Mescal ('Aftersun') all stand a good chance of earning top nominations for Best Actor.

The contenders for Best Actress include Danielle Deadwyler ('Till'), Cate Blanchett ('Tár'), Viola Davis ('The Woman King'), Michelle Williams ('The Fabelmans'), and Michelle Yeoh ('Everything Everywhere All at Once').
