National Handloom Day 2021: Dia Mirza Shares Unseen Pic From Wedding, Says 'These Craft Forms Are...'

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Dia Mirza shared an unseen photo from her wedding to celebrate National Handloom Day, which is observed in the country on August 7. She urged her followers to celebrate the 'incredible textiles' and appreciate the workers, who weave the 'finest of fabrics'.
Mirza posted a candid photo from her wedding wherein she can be seen flaunting her million-dollar smile. She looked drop-dead gorgeous in a red banarasi silk saree, which she teamed with traditional jewelry.
“There is so much to love, respect and treasure about our #IndianHandlooms! Have you ever witnessed our master craftsmen/women at work? It is easily one of the most spellbinding processes. The precision and fluidity with which those hands and feet move so perfectly synchronised with the rhythm of the loom creating poetry in motion,” Dia wrote on Instagram while sharing the picture.
The ‘Sanju’ actress further said that one should celebrate the craft forms and appreciate the workers of the, who play a big role in the socio-economic development of India
“These craft forms are ours to celebrate everyday. On National Handloom Day, 7th of August, let’s come together to celebrate the culturally rich and incredible textiles of India. Let’s appreciate the hands behind the looms that work meticulously to weave the finest of the fabrics,” she added.

Dia tied the knot with Vaibhav Rekhi in an intimate ceremony on February 15, 2021 in Mumbai. The couple welcomed their son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi on May 14. Last month, Dia revealed that she gave birth to a premature baby boy. She said that her son was kept in the NICU for two months.
For her wedding, the 'Thappad' actress wore a red saree from the label Raw Mango. Unlike other B-town celebs, she decided to opt for a low-key ceremony. Mirza was earlier married to Sahil Sangha.
