Namaste England: NOT Arjun Kapoor but THIS actor was the FIRST choice, REVEALS director Vipul Shah

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are all set to entertain the movie lovers with their much-awaited film ‘Namaste England’. The two actors, who made waves with their sizzling chemistry in ‘Ishaqzaade’, are currently busy promoting the romantic comedy. The trailer of ‘Namaste England’ had managed to create anticipation among the fans and they are now eagerly waiting to see the Arjun and Parineeti together. Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who helmed Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Namastey London’, has once again donned the hat of the director for ‘Namaste England’. The ‘Aankhen’ director, while talking to a leading daily, revealed that Arjun Kapoor was not the first choice to play the male lead in ‘Namaste England’. Any guesses who was the original choice? He is none other than Akshay Kumar. Vipul Shah told the leading daily that he wanted to do the film with Akshay but his dates were not available. “I was going to do this film with Akshay but unfortunately, his dates were blocked. So he requested me to approach someone else and assured that we’ll reconnect for another film on a later date,” Shah told Deccan Chronicle. (Akshay Kumar) The ‘Singh is Kingg’ producer said that he then approached Arjun Kapoor for the film opposite Parineeti Chopra. “I went to Arjun and with all honesty, I told him that Akshay was my first choice but dates were not working out. Arjun liked the script that’s how he came on board,” Shah further told the daily. Talking about the film, ‘Namaste England’, will hit the silver screens on October 19.
