Mumbai Police to file charge sheet in Dilip Kumar property row!
After intervention from Maharashtra chief minister's office (CMO), the Mumbai Police on Wednesday expedited investigation into the case.
New Delhi: Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police said a charge sheet will be filed soon with regard to harassment complaints filed by Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar against builder Samir Bhojwani. After intervention from Maharashtra chief minister's office (CMO), the Mumbai Police on Wednesday expedited investigation into the case, and filed an application in the Bombay High Court for the cancellation of Bhojwani's bail in another case.
Kumar's wife and veteran actress Saira Banu on Tuesday had expressed her disappointment over Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' failure to deliver justice in the matter. She had also sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention.
Saira tweeted, "Request from Saira Banu Khan: To the Hon'ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi Awaiting for an appointment. I am tired of repeated assurances from CM @Dev_Fadnavis "I AM TRYING"Sir you are the last hope of protecting DILIP SAHAB's only house from Land Mafia Samir Bhojwani. I beg."
The tweet came a day after the actress had tweeted requesting a meeting with Prime Minister Modi. In an FIR lodged on January 4 this year, Saira alleged that Bhojwani, on the basis of forged documents, illegally staked ownership of land in Pali Hill, Bandra, the rights of which were acquired by Dilip Kumar on September 25, 1953.Request from Saira Banu Khan: To the Hon’ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi Awaiting for appointment. I am tired of repeated assurances from CM @Dev_Fadnavis “I AM TRYING“ Sir you are the last hope of protecting DILIP SAHAB’s only house from Land Mafia Samir Bhojwani. I beg ????????????
