Many online reports suggest that, Amber who had spent two months under strict lockdown orders in New Zealand was kind of depressed ever since she lost her adopted mother recently. She died on Monday May 18, almost one month on from the death of her beloved 'second mother' Kirsten Olason, reports Daily Mail. The report further added that, Ms Friis started an online fashion label with her boyfriend in early March as the coronavirus crisis swept the globe. She confessed it had been difficult to get the business off the ground during the pandemic. 'Due to the virus outbreak we are restricted from receiving bulk shipment orders, so clothing is limited for the time being,' she told followers of the brand on March 26. Mourning the death, her agents at the Talent Tree said they were “devastated” by their loss. "It is with immense sadness we acknowledge the sudden passing of a beautiful and talented Amber-lee Friis,” Talent Tree wrote in a Facebook statement. The president of Miss World New Zealand Organization, Nigel Godfrey, also confirmed Friis' passing in a Facebook tribute post, “The world is a lesser place without her in it," Nigel wrote. "She had a great deal more to give and it is a dreadful tragedy that she won't be here to realize her unlimited potential. RIP Amber Lee you have left us far, far too soon.”
No suicide note was found in the apartment, and further investigations were underway.
