The #MeToo movement is currently one of the most talked-about topics in India. Started by Tanushree Dutta, the movement gained momentum after women from various industries started sharing their harassment stories and accused known names like Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl among others of sexual misconduct. Recently, Salman Khan's ex girlfriend Somi Ali and Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap too shared their #MeToo stories. And now, a Bollywood actor has come out and has revealed that he got sexually harassed at the age of 21. He is none other than Huma Qureshi's actor-brother Saqib Saleem.

After many actresses, now an actor has finally opened-up about his sexual harassment. Joining the #MeToo movement, Saqib revealed that a man tried to put is hand in the 'Dhishoom' actor's pants when he started out as an actor.
Speaking about the same in an interview with a leading daily, he said, "I don’t want to take names, but when I started out as an actor- I was only 21 years old there was a man who tried to assault me. He tried to put his hand in my pants."

He further told Hindustan Time that, "When it happened with me, I whacked the guy and I told him to mind his own f***ing business and I left. I was 21, and of course, it scarred me, but I moved on. I’m sure that everyone’s different, and an incident such as this must affect different people differently."
He also spoke about the #MeToo stories that are coming to fore and said, “These stories are heartbreaking and sexual offenders are horrible people.”
He also said that he has a lot of gay friends and they are totally wonderful, but, in this case, he blames the man's mentality.
Hmm...true that! This is indeed commendable that Saqib has shared his story.
On the career front, Saqib made his Bollywood debut with 2011 film 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' and went on to feature in 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti', 'Bombay Talkies' among others. He was last seen sharing screen-space with Salman Khan in 'Race 3' which released earlier this year.
