Manikarnika Box Office Collection Day 1: Kangana Ranaut’s film packs a SOLID PUNCH on opening day
New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, which hit the silver screens on January 25, has started on a positive note at the box office. The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai, who defied the British East India Company rule during the revolt of 1857 and fought till her death. The period drama, which released in 3000 screens across India, has minted big moolah on its opening day. Trade pundits were expecting Manikarnika to do well and the film didn’t disappoint them.
The first day box office collection of Manikarnika stood at 8.75 crore. The film has received a good response from the audience who have given thumbs up to Kangana. The ‘Queen’ actress has managed to earn critical acclaim from the critics for her performance in the film.

Bollywood trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh shared Manikarika’s box office collection on Twitter. He said that the much-awaited film picked up pace in the evening shows after starting on a slow note in the morning shows.

‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ has remained in limelight for several reasons. The film grabbed headlines when Kangana replaced Krish as the director as he had to fulfill some other work commitments. The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Danny Denzongappa, Suresh Oberoi and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles. Watch this space for more updates!
