Karan Johar Lauds Sara Ali Khan's Performance In 'Ae Watan Mere Watan': 'The Work She Has Done Is Kaabil E Tareef'

At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Bollywood powerhouse Karan Johar took the stage to shower praise upon the talented Sara Ali Khan for her upcoming film 'Ae Watan Mere Watan.'

New Delhi: In a momentous event at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Bollywood powerhouse Karan Johar took the stage to shower praise upon the talented Sara Ali Khan for her upcoming film 'Ae Watan Mere Watan.' The motion poster of the much-anticipated thriller-drama was launched at the festival, capturing the attention of cinephiles and industry insiders alike.

The film, inspired by true events, promises to be a gripping narrative of courage and patriotism. Sara Ali Khan leads the cast, portraying the valiant freedom fighter Usha Mehta, who played a pivotal role in the Indian independence movement. 

During the IFFI event, Sara Ali Khan shared her thoughts on the film and the profound impact it had on her. "I'm grateful for all the wonderful things Karan sir said. He and I are here at IFFI to share the first look of this film, and this is a film that's truly close to my heart," said the actress. She went on to emphasize the film's honest depiction of an Indian story, specifically the untold narratives of countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

While praising Sara, Karan Johar said, "She worked restlessly from the time she was given the industry from the first year. Coming right back from Columbia and getting into the think of industry and resonated with this girl who was fresh out of college and went out to become a freedom fighter. As an actor or as a freedom fighter eventually, you are fighting circumstances obstacles and so much more and I thought the role really resonates with Sara the person she is the love for the country she has within our heart, and her ability to transform into a character with the work she can portray and that Kannan sir will tell you that the work she has put into this path is Kaabil E Tareef."

On her social media platforms, Sara shared the motion poster with her fans, echoing her excitement and pride in being a part of a project that pays homage to the bravery of those who fought for India's freedom. In her caption, she wrote, "Aazad aawazein, qaid nahi hoti. Presenting the motion poster of a film very very dear to my heart.
