Sitapur Congress MP Rakesh Rathore Arrested Over Sexual Exploitation Charge: Report

Congress MP Rakesh Rathore was arrested in UP on charges of sexual exploitation after his anticipatory bail was rejected by the High Court.

Congress MP from Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur, Rakesh Rathore was arrested by the police on Thursday over the charge of sexually exploiting a woman, reported PTI, quoting police sources.

The arrest came after his anticipatory bail was rejected by the High Court. The police took him into custody while he was addressing a press conference.  
Rathore's interim bail was rejected by the Lucknow bench of the High Court on Wednesday, after which the police arrested him.

The High Court had asked the Congress MP to surrender who is accused of rape. Earlier the Court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
