Kapil Sharma Reacts To Suggestion Of Net Worth Being Rs. 300 CR, Says 'Have Also Lost A Lot Of Money'

Kapil Sharma added that he is no saint and if he gets good money, he does not believe in turning it down but even today, "meri soch salary wali hai".

New Delhi: Kapil Sharma neither confirmed nor denied that he is worth hundreds of crores. In a recent interview, the comedian-actor opened up about his success, how he started from humble beginnings, his wife and how he still considers himself a middle-class man. Kapil Sharma also admitted that he isn't satisfied with what he has.

In an interaction with AajTak, Kapil Sharma shared how he still thought of himself as a middle-class salaried man. He also said that one he asked Amitabh Bachchan if he reuses empty shampoo bottles, and Big B laughed. Kapil said that Mr. Bachchan has a special connection with audiences because they believe him to be one of them.

When the interviewer began with, "You’re worth Rs 300 crore…”, the comedian laughed and said in Hindi that he had also lost a lot of money. But, in truth, he does not think about these things. He said that he has a house, car and a family and ultimately that's all that matters. Having said that, Kapil Sharma added that he is no saint and if he gets good money, he does not believe in turning it down but even today, "meri soch salary wali hai".

Kapil also said that his wife Ginni Chatrath likes spending on things but he doesn't. But she also comes from money, so it's different. Kapil added, his wife didn't have problems adjusting to his background even though she came from a wealthy family.

Kapil also praised his wife and said that he has a lot of respect for her as she stood by him when no one else did and continued to support him through good and bad times.

Kapil Sharma said that despite hopes to making more money, he feels deep down he is the same person he used to be but his kids having known privilege will experience life differently.

Kapil Sharma and Ginni have two children, daughter Anayra and son Trishaan.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kapil Sharma is returning to films after a long time with Nandita Das' 'Zwigato'. The slice-of-life comedy drama has already been doing the rounds of festival circuits and will be released in theatres on March 17, 2023.
