Sonam Kapoor Comes Out In Support Of Kanika Kapoor, Gets Trolled For Her Tweet

Sonam Kapoor, who was last seen in 'The Zoya Factor', came out in support of Kanika Kapoor after she got slammed by the social media users for being 'irresponsible'.

New Delhi: ‘Baby Doll’ fame singer Kanika Kapoor grabbed all the headlines yesterday after she confirmed that she was tested positive for Coronavirus. Kanika, who recently returned from London, attended high-profile parties in Lucknow where several political biggies, bureaucrats and socialites were present. The ‘Beat Pe Booty’ singer faced a lot of flak on social media after the reports of her attending parties hit the internet. Twitterati called Kanika ‘irresponsible’ for attending parties instead of taking precautionary measures. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has come out in support of Kanika Kapoor on Twitter. She said that the singer returned back on March 9 when ‘India was not self isolating but playing Holi’. Sonam Kapoor’s tweet didn’t go down well with several users on Twitter. One of them even asked the actress to not tweet till the Coronavirus pandemic ends.

A user wrote, "No Sonam, this ain't it. She has put municipality workers, household help, delivery folk, salon folk, neighbours, cabbies, folk who aren't rich or powerful & doing their job - at risk by throwing parties at home. In two of the most populated cities in India..it's unconscionable."
