Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat stirred a controversy with his remark on ‘ripped jeans’. The newly sworn-in chief minister while addressing a workshop on substance abuse said that ripped jeans was not part of Indian culture and it set a ‘bad example’ for the kids at home. Several netizens have expressed their displeasure over his comments on social media. Many users trended the hashtag #RippedJeansTwitter and shared online photos of them wearing ripped jeans.

 Kangana Ranaut, who often shares her views on different issues, posted pictures of herself wherein she can be seen wearing ripped jeans. She joined the online trend and advised people on how to carry the outfit.

“If you want to wear ripped jeans make sure coolness quotient is of this magnitude as in these pics, so that it looks like your style not your state a homeless beggar who hasn’t got allowance from parents this month, most young people look like that these days #RippedJeansTwitter,” Kangana tweeted.

Kangana’s tweet received mixed responses on social media. Her advice on how to style the outfit didn’t go down well with the netizens. Many fans trolled the ‘Panga’ actress on Twitter, reminding her ‘self-praise is no recommendation.’

Some users also slammed the ‘Queen’ star for using ‘homeless beggars’ in her tweet.

When Kangana Criticised ‘American Jeans’

Earlier this month, the ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ actress posted a photo of the first female licensed doctors from India, Syria and Japan and took a dig at her modern-day achivers for wearing ‘torn American jeans’.

“Appreciation tweet for ancient women who not only represented their individuality but their entire civilisation, cultures and nations. Today if such achievers are to be clicked, they will all wear torn American jeans and rags like blouses, representing nothing but American marketing,” her tweet read.

Many users strongly reacted to her post and reminded Kangana that she was also spotted in western outfits.

Kangana Ranaut Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in ‘Thalaivi’. She is playing the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the much-awaited flick. ‘Thalaivi’ will clash with Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ as both the films are releasing on April 23, 2021. 

Kangana also has ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Tejas’ and 'Manikarnika Returns' in her kitty. She is currently busy shooting for 'Tejas' in Rajasthan.
